Every now and then you find some of these tools. A bit like elves during Christmas. They are useful little helpers but you need a bit of luck to find them.
Today I had a look around on the MSDN Forums and noticed someone mentioning the MSDN/Technet Forum Assistant.
I visited the link and downloaded the two gadgets:

Both Gadgets work in the same way. Maybe one gadget that handles both forums would be a good next step 🙂 but hey this already makes live just that little bit easier.
So how does it work?
You download the two gadgets.
In the gadget options you select your favorite forums (In my case all SharePoint related forums)
And then you click on Thread Updates.
Oh no I’m getting far too much here!
There is also an option to show just your own threads. Again in the same Gadget Options. You simply type in your MSDN account display name.
This is great! Now I can see just my threads. Ok, All I now have to do is click on the thread which takes me to the right thread on http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/
