I’m using Workflow Manager 1.0 and SharePoint 2013 with SharePoint Designer workflows and I got an Unexpected error occurred in method.

Unexpected error occurred in method

Today I got the following error when I tried to Add a Workflow to my list.

Unexpected error occurred in method ‘GetObject’ , usage ‘Distributed Logon Token Cache’ – Exception ‘Microsoft.ApplicationServer.Caching.DataCacheException: ErrorCode<ERRCA0018>:SubStatus<ES0001>:The request timed out.. Additional Information : The client was trying to communicate with the server :

Publishing workflows

The reusable workflow which I used as a template for my workflow on the list wasn’t published yet. once I published my reusable workflow, the list workflow was added without any problem.

I would understand the behaviour if the Add a Workflow wouldn’t add the workflow and simply error however if the reusable workflow is not published I’m finding workflow instance being created where all my list looks are broken. Therefore it seems like the workflow is only half created from its template.
