Do you ever miss the start of a meeting because those reminders don’t pop up when you want them to pop up? Do you want to stop missing reminders?

Reminders in Outlook

15 minutes before a meeting starts reminders will appear (unless you have disabled this) while you work on other things. This can really help you avoid missing meetings.

Recently however I noticed that when I ignore reminders and don’t dismiss them that the reminder window would not appear anymore.

So in my case I ignored a meeting 38 minutes ago and in my reminder window this appears as 38 minutes overdue. My test alert meeting will now appear in this reminder window however I will never see it as that little popup appears behind other windows.

A reminder window behind other windows is of course quite useless.

So in this post the easy way to fix this.

Show reminders on top of other windows

In your Outlook you will have to go to

File -> Options and you will see the following settings available to you. Just select the Advanced option and you will be close to fixing the issue.

Now tick on the Show reminders on top of other windows and from then onwards your reminders will appear again.
